Career Data:  Joined Burkey Construction in 1969. Worked in all areas of construction including estimating, purchasing, project management, and planning. In 1973, Mr. Burkey was promoted to Executive Vice President and in 1988 became President. To further define corporate responsibilities and direct the company for future growth, Mr. Burkey was elevated to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1992. His duties include primarily corporate administration, marketing, and negotiations for future projects. In addition, he is active in real estate development and projects related thereto, in order to provide a full-service organization for the construction buyer.
